Matt (and myself at the end) worked really hard to get our room in the basement finished. It took lots and lots of work but the end result is awesome.
Carly was overjoyed to take posession of her very own room. Alissa had no desire whatsoever to sleep in the basement or have her own room but as soon as she saw the awesome room Carly scored, she got really jealous. Really, really jealous. Jealous to tears! In the end, we got the tables to turn where Liss was happy and Carly had some jealousy. We moved Cam's bed in with the twins so Alissa could have her own room upstairs and moved a desk in her room (Carly's cause of jealousy was the desk!). Good times.
Jacie got her first haircut! Look at that darling grin. She just got some bangs.
And...Alissa loves having long enough hair to try this trick...
The older girls have been busy at school. Alissa did a report on Bushbabies in the rainforest and both girls earned a Climbing Higher award. Alissa's was for great math scores and Carly's was for talking more in class!
Also in April...CAMERON TURNED 4!! We were both thrilled with how awesome the campfire cake turned out. He's so excited to be 4 and continues to be so much fun.
Merrilee and I had matchy matchy outfits. :) Awesome.
My kids LOVED that Aunt Merrilee would sit and let them talk and talk and talk to her. She admitted that she loves it too! Cameron always has entertaining stuff to say.
Once the majority of the crowd headed home after the reception, Aunt TeraLyn got to stay an extra day and we had lots of fun with her. We took a fun train ride to downtown Salt Lake and enjoyed lunch at the fun new City Creek Mall and enjoyed Temple Square as well.
Tera spoiled us with gifts and food and fun games with the kids. We were so glad she could visit us and hope it won't be long until we have more visitors again.
This is a big deal...that Jacie would let someone even close to her! Awesome.
Between Cameron's and the Twins' birthdays, we took a trip to the Hogle Zoo. Half of it was under construction for an awesome new Safari part opening next year - but there were still a LOT of new exhibits and animals that we haven't seen since it's been a few years since we've been there. Unfortunately, we picked a very rainy day to go but we survived and still had lots of fun.
That's the awesomeness of our April. Thanks for sharing it with us. I'll be back to cover May in a month!
