Busy June!

I had a LOT of fun photos of our busy month of June.  They loaded backwards...so we'll travel back in time as we go...

Just the other night, we enjoyed roasting s'mores over our campfire in the backyard.  Matt got home late so he reheated his cold pizza over the fire as well - ha!  Then our entire family had fun sleeping on the trampoline that night.  I only lasted a couple hours and Jacie kept sliding right to the middle so I grabbed her and we finished the night in my much more comfortable bed.  Matt made it all night and all 4 kids were, of course, squished all around him by morning!  We discovered the next day that mosquitos must've found Trevor to be quite tasty while he slept out there...his arms were COVERED with bites - poor little dude.
At the end of June, we got to help Matt's sister Kaeli move to her own apartment.  We used our trailer to load stuff and just pushed it down the sidewalk to be reloaded right at the front door!  The twins thought it was great fun when their grandpa gave them a ride in his "pig truck".

Some other happenings in June included both Alissa and Carly earning their Distinguished Cub Awards.  They had to complete a lot of academic goals throughout the school year and they did great.  I discovered Jacie trying out my mascara one day.  And Matt spent one weekend digging out a trench in our cement floor to put in a gas line to install our nice new gas dryer - that man can do so many things he's still amazing me!

Our biggest fun in June was our annual Doug Judy Reunion in Idaho.  LaDawn and Lane were in charge this year and we had lots of fun.  One day involved a cold but fun trip to Rigby Lake.  The next picture shows a very typical sight at these big reunions - the house FULL of people of all sizes!  We counted 98 out of the 123 people in our family there this year- that's a fabulous turnout...probably our best yet in the 10 years we've been having this reunion.  Sweet.

We all got to bring a themed basket and Coltin the professional auctioneer auctioned them off.  I also included this picture of some delicious variations of brownies that Teresa shared with me!

More fun included lots of games...Mallory brought a fabulous big parachute and balls from her school for us to play with - the kids had a blast.  The adults enjoyed a good old game of dodge ball.
And my niece Kaylee is crazy flexible - that just hurts to look at...I see a future in the circus happening here!
We also had fun playing Steal the Flag - it was so entertaining to see these giant grown men try and pull each other over the line.
A standing tradition for our reunions is to help my mom and dad out around their house with a service day.  This year we got to split into groups and do such things as paint the shed, dig out an old stump, clean up garbage and move old machinery and junk from in front of the barn.  So many helpers makes the service get done in a snap.

A big thing this year is that my oldest sibling Dell turned 50!  His wife threw him a fun surprise party that we all got to enjoy.  My talented sister in law April made the fun cake and this cowboy cutout with Dell's face on it was too funny!

Just before the reunion started, Merrilee and I took a van load of girly girls and one handsome Cameron down to our sister Bethia's beauty shop.  Bethia gets to enjoy having both her daughters work there with her - Brandi does hair and Brittany does nails.  It was lots of fun.  Both Alissa and Carly decided they were done with long hair and had it cut short short short.  Bailey and Lizzie begged to do the same thing and were thrilled when their mom agreed!
Carly's hair was just long enough to donate to Locks of Love.

Before we left for Idaho, the school had a fun carnival and I was surprised to glance out my window and see that the Titanic had sunk right by our backyard!
Alissa thought it was great fun to get the hair out of the hairbrush and roll it into a ball.  She was so thrilled to have this amazing new hair ball toy...ugh.
Another big happening in June was on June 2nd I turned 33!!  Here is my great birthday haul!
Matt's mom made this awesome cake for me too!

Also on my birthday, we got to celebrate the blessing of my newest nephew - Kurtis Aaron Parry.  Skyler brought his slack line to the party and lots of kids had fun trying it out.

And finally, a couple oddball pictures...the first is how Jacie helps me weed the garden!  And the second is my pinterest inspired creativity - so funny.

That's the fun we've had in June!
