We've had a busy and fun December so far! Our friend Jingle the Elf got to come back to our house this year and the kiddos were THRILLED to find him on our table when they came home from our trip to Idaho for Thanksgiving. He has been a busy little old guy while we are sleeping - here are just a couple of the fun things he's been doing that we find when we wake up - we have to tell Cameron to go back to bed when he asks if he can find Jingle at 3 in the morning sometimes - haha.
On December 2nd our Carly turned EIGHT!! She was so excited to be baptized that she requested a "font cake" - first time trying to pull THAT one off! Turned out pretty cute - the water is blue jello jigglers. As soon as our birthday visitors left and Carly had birthday money in hand, she had us run her up to Walmart to buy that big snowman guy - she had her eye on a giant Santa but they were all gone by the time she had the money needed for it! She LOVES that big guy!
And here's our newly baptized Carly! She was baptized on December 7th and we were SO happy to have some of my family make the trip plus a good chunk of Matt's family join us as well - we enjoyed dinner and lots of yummy desserts then we had a fun piñata for everyone - I think my biggest sister Teresa was the most thrilled by the candy raining down on us all! :) Good times. Carly later told me that she wishes she could get baptized every weekend because it was so fun and she got so many gifts!

Matt's Grandma Paskett has us all up to her house every December for a delicious meal and to have the kids put on the Nativity for everyone to enjoy. It's always a wonderful evening.
The next weekend was super fun...Matt's sister Sandy thought it would be a great idea to give us all some fun Christmas memories to last a lifetime for our gifts rather than have more toys or such that would one day be forgotten. She and her husband planned out such a fun weekend that we all really enjoyed ourselves and definitely have some great memories now. Our weekend started with a big breakfast and a surprise visit from SANTA!! We all got to sit on his lap and sing some carols with him and he left us with a gift and a great lesson about remembering Jesus at Christmas time. Perfect.
We headed downtown for the rest of our fun weekend...Trevor was mesmerized by the train ride to the Clark Planetarium to see a Christmas Laser show then we were all thrilled to discover a....
How precious is that hand holding?! :)
Our December moved on with the arrival of Christmas Break for the kids to get to stay home and for our friend Kylei to come to our house with her baby brother Kaison every week day. We enjoyed trying these fun new reindeer pancakes for lunch one day and made snowmen too.
And our most recent FHE project was making these fun trees - so much easier than a gingerbread house and so tasty too!
