Oh October...

FAMILY PICTURES!!

I LOVE this one!  Matt is SO funny!

All the Hansens and all the Hansen Grandkids

Matt pretended to throw each kid into the water...that's fun I guess!
Sandy had to join the silly party that Matt started.
And, finally, a great shot of Matt and his 3 siblings.

Also this month...Alissa and Carly used their allowance money to buy some crazy jelly beans from jellybelly.com.  They are like the Harry Potter Every Flavor Beans where they have the exact same coloring for a delicious flavor as they do for a nasty one.  Carly ordered a box that came with a spinner so you had to eat whatever color it landed on.  They were sure to invite some friends over to "enjoy" the experience!  I'm told rotten egg and barf were the nastiest.

We all enjoyed some blue suckers from a trip to the bank - or, as the twins call it - "the Piggy Bank"

And on to our Halloween Fun...the kids tried out some costumes and we made a fun Halloween type food for each day of the week prior to the holiday.  Fun time of year!

This year we headed out for trick or treating with a Vampire, a Shadow, a Ninja Turtle, Elmo, and a Clown.  Matt's mom made the Elmo costume when Alissa was little and every one of my kids has now had the joy of wearing it - that's gonna be a sweet page in my scrapbook, I tell you what!

And, to end our  month - we took a trip to Costco.  If you look at the blog post for September, you'll see the giant bear that Alissa got for her birthday from her Uncle Skyler.  Well, the 3 younger kids and I found that bear's gigantor relatives!  These things are seriously huge.  It took 2 adults to get the giant thing back on the shelf when it fell down.  Who doesn't need a giant stuffed bear around?

And here is my cute little Jacie bringing in the trash.  Such a good little helper.
Pretty short and sweet for October.  November is sure to bring more holiday fun.
