January 2020

A new year and we're off to some new adventures in this life we love...

We rearranged some bedrooms so now the boys are downstairs together and Carly is upstairs sharing a room with Jacie.  Jacie misses her brothers and is often found sleeping on their rug!

With our room changes, we got a cool new mattress in the mail.  Cameron just liked the box.
And two kids are now trying out instruments in band at school.  Carly's friend's dad is a band teacher at Cameron's school so they found her a clarinet and her friend gave her a crash course on how to play the clarinet.

Our crawl space is having issues so Matt got to put on this suit and crawl around down there getting things fixed.  Good guy.

My dad turned 80!  They had a big party for him in Idaho Falls - sad we couldn't make it but fun to see this picture of this big crowd of people we love!

Alissa and Carly are so cute together.  This is them huddled by the window when we had a snow day from school - and they are often found chatting the night away in one room or the other.  I love that they are friends (most of the time!).

This is the amount of snow that gave us 2 days off of school - kids dug out our snow clothes and played in it all day.

Here's some of Carly's mad art skills for a school book report.  And each of the 3 little kids have identical dogs - I walked downstairs to see this adorable sight!

Funny story.  Cameron is already working on his cheesy "dad joke" mentality.  Trevor was upset that Cameron got the last chicken nugget.  Cameron tried to give him half.  Trevor said he wanted a WHOLE nugget.  So Cameron got a straw, worked his magic and gave him a "HOLE" nugget.

Realized we haven't documented that these two girls are in braces at the same time.
Now it's documented.

This is how they really feel about it...

WOWZA

Carly and her friend Catherine both got awards at school and Trevor has a hard head...

And to end our January - we had a finger-slicing adventure.  Jacie used our apple slicer without using the safety guard and sliced a big old nasty chunk out of her fingertip.  OUCH.  Lots of bandaids, neosporin and prayers helped it heal SO quickly and well.  So blessed.
