We had a lot of fun at the end of our year 2014 and are looking forward to some big and exciting changes coming our way in 2015. Here are some pictures of some of our fun...
Our Christmas elf named Jingle had lots of fun getting into mischief and making us laugh when we found him every morning. Here are two of our favorites...
My pictures are all mixed up so bear with me on going back and forth between Idaho and Utah. We got to spend a week and a half with my family in Idaho for 2 weddings and Christmas. There was no snow and nice weather for the first half of the trip then lots of fun sledding snow to end it. Jacie really disliked sledding - screamed all the way down. Trevor insisted he loved it - even when he had a scared face on when his sled turned around backwards halfway down the hill. And Cameron loved everything about sledding - until he crashed face first into a big sagebrush - then he went inside!
Before we left, Matt discovered a bad pipe going down the wall from our kitchen sink to the basement - water damage on the wall was the clue to finding the bad pipe - the previous homeowner said they'd had a fish tank spill right there. Uhh...nope. It was actually the entire pipe cracked down the back and slowly seeping water into the wall for years. Nice. Glad this husband of mine knows how to fix practically anything and for his dad that continues to teach him how to!Carly and Alissa have had one full year of piano lessons with their Great Aunt Sandra and they've learned SO much. She was very impressed with how quickly they caught on to the concepts and how well they played. This was their last piano recital and they were fabulous.
And off we go to Idaho! A crowd of girl cousins - so much fun. My girls ended up getting at least 4 sleepovers with their cousins while we were up there - they were in cousin heaven!
Our first wedding was my little brother Jarom - he's here with his sweetheart Dawn. They are SO happy together - a perfect match. We are glad she's joined our family. Beautiful wedding.
Christmas Eve fun - our family tradition is to make and decorate sugar cookies on Christmas Eve - these kiddos helped me make some cookies as soon as they rolled out of bed - literally.
And the crowd that assembled to quickly get all the cookies frosted and decorated - Taletha brought funny mustaches and eyes to spice up our decorating fun.
The weather was so nice that we went for a nice walk out to the pasture to visit the horses.
Cameron had fun trying out an old tractor out there.
Christmas morning! We always lined up in age order in the hallway as kids before we were allowed to go in the living room and see what Santa brought so, of course, I like to line up my own kids like that now! We were so happy to have Taletha join us this year.
Bring on the presents!!
My brother Merrill made all of these amazing things for our family - wow he's talented!
I just saw this hilarious picture on my mom's phone and had to take a snapshot - so funny!
I also took a snapshot of this one on her camera - oh, how I love these women!
Our second wedding that week was for my nephew Derek who married his sweetheart Janae - sorry, no pic yet. The wedding was held in a beautiful refurbished church and what do you think is hiding behind that secret passageway the groom's dad is sneaking through? Why, a Rapunzel type tower of course! SO cool!
Jacie and a balloon - 2 ingredients needed for a funny picture and a big giant grin!
Oh look! Snow makes her grin too! We opted not to bring our snow clothes with the nice weather in the forecast - guess we should've counted on the "Christmas Miracle" of snow.
Light snowfall made these pictures look so neat - wow, Alissa is so pretty.
Trevor put Grandma Judy to work - haha.
One final picture in Idaho with Grandma and Grandpa Judy before we headed home. Matt was able to fix and upgrade a bunch of stuff for them while we were there. They took good care of us so we took good care of them. I sure love my parents.
As soon as we got home - it was Matt's birthday!
And our friend Kylei came to play that week - good buddies.
Then it's on to a celebration of the New Year! Pinterest inspired festive vegetable tray...
We celebrated with some of Matt's family at his Aunt's house and she has 3 adorable and very fluffy puppies that the kids loved to snuggle.
Played Turner Rummy with none other than Grandma Turner!
Whoops - back to Idaho again - haha - We had fun decorating sugar cones into Christmas trees after a great FHE lesson Taletha gave - it was so fun to see my parents get in on the fun and my baby brother Lane said that it's nice to see Matt show his normal face in a picture for once - ha.
Three mischievous minions...
And, finally, the end of 2014 and beginning of 2015 - Carly put treats and papers inside these balloons to give them ideas of what to do each hour.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!! I hope 2014 was good to you and you are hopeful for great change and progress in your lives for 2015. Best wishes to you and yours at the start of a brand new year.
