We learned how to crochet!
Matt taught the kids how to play Chess so he finally has someone to play it with! ;)
Trevor likes to peek up the chimney to contemplate how Santa is ever going to fit in there...
Lowe's had Avengers projects for the kids to assemble. Avengers Assemble...get it?! :)
Both Carly and Trevor earned and saved enough tickets to get to go on a date with their dad. He took them miniature golfing - they had a great time - and to see the new Minion movie - fun!
And a highlight of our August was a visit from Grandma and Grandpa Hansen from Utah!! Looks like Grandpa and all 3 little kids really missed their story times together!
We enjoyed a trip to Old Country Buffet the first night and all 5 kids loved having 4 living room campouts in a row - the big girls gave up their beds for the visitors.
Grandma gave this cute little green monster to Jacie because it reminded her so much of our wild and crazy little girl - looks like a good match! We also enjoyed a walk around Seeley Lake by our house and did a fun nature scavenger hunt one day.
We made sure we visited the zoo and aquarium while they were here...
Right around the corner from the zoo is our favorite spot to go hunt for little crabs. The first picture shows Matt pointing to a rock he put a piece of wood on to show it's out of the water and the second picture shows the same rock about 45 minutes later - the tide was rising fast!
Our next adventure was to ride the FERRY!! We went from Bremerton to Seattle - very fun. Alissa's hair in the second picture CRACKS ME UP!!
On our way home from Seattle we stopped by Matt's Aunt Tracy's house where she showed us her cool new business of on-demand t-shirt designing and she made us all a fun new shirt!
Sunday morning brought a backache for Grandpa so these super heroes helped him out.
We officially have a middle schooler now - I never said my first baby could grow up so fast. Ah well, she's super excited. School starts September 2nd around here!
Lately, I've been researching signs of the times and the last days and holy smokes it is much closer than I expected - yikes! Needless to say, we have really picked up our game to gather food storage! WinCo is our friend now. ;)
