March 2017

Aunt Sandy sent us a cool new toy - Bunchems!  They are basically just the plastic version of the Cockle Burr plants that stick to everything.  Very fun.  And very creative kids!

Matt helped some Boy Scouts with an Orienteering Badge
so the kids all wanted him to teach them how to use a compass too.

Jacie got a sinus infection and this is her body's reaction to
the antibiotic (Amoxicillin) that she took for it - yikes.

March is the month of Soccer Games for Alissa at her middle school.  It's a very rainy month up here - there was only one or two games that didn't involve rain and puddles!
The other kids love getting in their rain gear and splashing in the puddles.
and Alissa quickly learned to wear warmer clothes under her uniform!
Our friends were able to come support Alissa at one of the sunny games!

I was able to go on a field trip with Carly!  She and 2000 other elementary kids got to play some songs they'd been learning on their recorders with the Seattle Symphony and Orchestra at
Benaroya Hall in downtown Seattle.  Fun fun!

  Homework is SO exhausting!

This is the cute St. Patrick's Day treat we made this year
We had a fun St. Patrick's Day with a game night with members of our ward.

Our Pie Face Game was a big hit!  A big, messy, sticky hit and I learned don't ever forget to rinse out the towels you use to clean up the cool whip because if you wad them up and throw them in a plastic bag and forget about them for 5 days until you do laundry - your nose will never forgive you and the stink won't wash out very easily.  Just sayin'.

One Sunday, we went for a little walk because the sun had returned and we couldn't resist.  We went to China Lake in Tacoma and saw a couple cool turtles warming themselves on a log in the lake.  Matt said when he was a teenager, he'd come to that park and had put eye bolts in a couple trees to repel from them - we wandered around a bit and we actually found the trees!

This is our friend Mia.  This is what Mia LOVES to do when she visits!  I keep the paper goods down low just for her.  :)  I kept a gallon of vinegar down low, too, but she figured out how to pry the lid off of it and neither she nor I liked that idea anymore.  ;)
And here she is with her brother T.J.  Wow they're cute!

And that about sums up our March fun.  April is bringing Spring Break and Easter so here's one last picture for you - Trevor was thrilled when Grandma Paskett sent some hand me down long johns that fit him - he thought they'd make the perfect bunny outfit for him - and they did!
