January 2018

What do you do if you spill a delicious Orange Julius?
Suck it up with straws, of course!

Our new home!

Jacie and Alissa got haircuts - all the way up to their chins - very cute.  And my cool earring...

We discovered a little bit of awesome at our new place - we can have our groceries delivered!  AWESOME!  And all the kids get to walk down the road to a bus stop every day.

My fancy new home office
Matt has met his match.  We have an astonishingly smart mouse that lives at our house.  He evades all traps and manages to eat the peanut butter off them all without getting caught - so smart.  Matt came up with this homemade version of a trap - we thought we'd caught him but...no.  Too smart.  The trap that finally got him was a live trap - wasn't expecting that I guess!

We have a two-headed rabbit in our neighborhood!
He can magically split into two rabbits - he's amazing.
The funniest part of our new place is that the laundry is on the back deck.  Gladly, Matt has put a tent around it for now - much nicer than doing laundry in the rain!  We're working on moving them inside

Accidental Twinning (Triplet-ing) at church!
Matt had to go down in a crawl space at the house to figure out how to move the laundry into the garage - the boys thought it was a pretty cool space to explore.  The girls?  Not so much.

We went to a Sportsman Show and the kids could all catch two trout out of this pond - pretty exciting!  The boys were especially thrilled to learn how to gut a fish when we got home.  Ew.
Cameron made a cool project about Switzerland for school.

Ready to go work in the nasty crawl space...

And finally - my twins can read!  They've hit that threshold where they are stumbling and sounding every little word out - to reading fairly fluently - they spent an hour reading to me and we loved it!

We're settling in and enjoying our new adventures.  Here's to a great new year!
