February 2018

Cool magic trick!

 Crazy Hair Day at school

The kids are thrilled that we are finding salamanders around here.  Plus, can you find the frog?

 Happy Valentine's Day!

Matt found Cameron in his chair - so he sat on him.
And - we found some snow!  We had to travel all the way to Idaho to find it, though!
The kids had a full week off of school for President's Day so we went on our annual trip to visit family in both Idaho and Utah - fun fun!

Aunt Taletha came up from Salt Lake and did exactly what the younger kids were hoping she would do - take them on a walk in the empty ditch and go see the horses in the field!  They said the horses came up to them, dropped to the ground and started rolling around, then followed them!

We were so happy to see a LOT of my family that Sunday.  I actually ended up seeing all but 4 of my 13 siblings - awesome!  I sure love my family.  :)
Sunday at my parent's house means lots of yummy treats and lots of family to visit with.
We were happy to get to see my niece Kaylee before she left on her mission to Fiji - this is Jarom and Taletha giving her tons of advice about what to expect on her mission.
Bailey and Alissa are best buds!
Cousins playing Annie-I-Over - great memories made!
Aunt LaDawn was very brave and had a bunch of cousins come to her house for a sleepover - it was wild and crazy but they had a wonderful time.
Carly wanted her first time doing Baptisms for the Dead to be with her cousin Lizzie so we made it happen!  Wonderful afternoon in the beautiful Idaho Falls Temple.

The kids were so happy to get to meet their cute cousin Caroline.

We said goodbye to our Judy Family and headed to Salt Lake to visit our Hansen Family...
We stopped at Temple Square and met up with Grandma Paskett.

She took us to the Family History Library where she is serving a mission - we got to see all the fun technology they are using there to help you see where your ancestors came from and how you are connected to famous people and all sorts of fun things like that.

We then headed to the Hansen's house for the rest of our visit.  The kids were so thrilled to get to spend time with more cousins.  These 4 little buddies all piled onto the same bed the first night.  Jacie opted for her own space in Brogan's crib - he got booted out to his mom's bed!
Ruston and Cameron are best buds.  Regena made this amazing church bag for Carly - wow.

Utah had a LOT more snow than Idaho did - it kept snowing and snowing.  The kids were glad Sandy had enough snow clothes so they could go play in the snow every day.
They went sledding at the school behind the house - this is Jacie trying to sneak back home!
Sandy had some great playdoh for the kids to create with - yeah, look what Jacie made...

Brogan is so funny.  He was enjoying some noodles, marshmallows and salt for a snack one day!
We were happy to get to see Grandma Turner too - here she is with all the Hansen cousins.
Jacie helped me deflate the airbed as we prepared to head home - haha
And this was our drive home - yikes.  Both mountain passes we had to go over looked like this so it was a slower drive but we made it home safely - phew!  What a wonderful vacation.  We love family.

My side of the family grew!  My nephew Tylan became a daddy - this is his cute new baby boy.

Cameron had his Blue and Gold Banquet for Cub Scouts - he's such a cute little scout.

And our month ended with some bubbly fun - the kids discovered that my whirlpool tub turns a small amount of bubble bath into a LOT of bubbles - they had so much fun!
We had a great February - lots of great memories made.  Here's to a happy March!
